Indonesia MK Ed Field Needs

Our field is growing rapidly.  We currently have 136 children.*  We represent 9 sending countries.**  We anticipate continued growth as the Lord keeps the door open here in Indonesia.  (There are 16 more kids on my “enroute” list!)  By His grace we would like to be preparing for the future, supporting families that are here to share the Good News with the isolated peoples of Indonesia!

**		Sending Countries: USA (42 families), Germany (2), Korea (1), Singapore (1), Swiss (1), Indonesia (1), UK (1), Canada (3), Australia (1) [Some families cover two sending countries.]

International School Needs (2008-2009):

1. Hillcrest Intl. School (HIS)
   HIS is a Christian international school founded to minister to sending agencies in the Indonesian province of Papua (formerly Irian Jaya).  They also accept business students.  They have campuses in Sentani (K-12) and Wamena (1-8).  They use North American curriculum, but as they have the personnel, they also run tracks for other languages (e.g. Korean).  There is a school-run boarding program.

2. Mountainview Intl. Christian School
   Mountainview is a Christian international school that was founded to minister to the families of North American sending agencies.  The school is located in Central Java.  Business students also make up a percentage of the student body.  There are school-run boarding facilities for students in grades 7-12.  We would like to open an NTM-run dorm there in the future.

3. One-Room School, Manado
   A one-room school setting located near the city of Manado, North Sulawesi, to teach the children of 2+ families grades 1-8.
• Teachers:

4. One-Room School, Palu
   A one-room school setting located in Palu, Central Sulawesi, to teach the children of 2+ families grades 1-8.  Two mothers are willing to assist in the teaching.

5. West Kal Academy

6. Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia
• Dorm/Host parents — Job Description:
  A couple/family(preferably not with young children) willing to open their home to board students from church planting families who are living in remote interior villages.  Experience in working with/caring for children/youth is required.  Placement will be made in fellowship with MK Ed Center in Camdenton.

• 3 children from interior families would live in town with dormparents if a family like this was available
